To be completed by the end of 2017, the North Hudson Sewerage Authority PURAC System Upgrade included sand removal and FRP backwash pipe installation in the clear well. Future work scheduled for late 2017 includes replacement of select sludge piping and valves for the PURAC system process. 

This work required sophisticated bypass pumping system to divert approximately 20MGD of wastewater and chemical feed from the PURAC building.
